Does Champagne Cognac have a sell by date

I inherited a bottle of Louis XIII Champagne Cognac from my late mother - it must be 20 years old. Does it have a sell by date? Its in its original box complete with crystal decanter - want to know if its worth anything? Can anyone advise?

Wpuldn't have thought it would go out of date, alcohol doesn't normally!

The best place I can think of to check whether this would worth anything would be eBay, strange I know, but if anyone else is selling something similar on there, then it may well give you a good idea of what yours is worth.
