Spangles! (oh, how I'd love to wiggle my tongue in that little dip in the middle again...)
Blackjacks & fruit salad (chewy sweets, a farthing each!)
Everlasting strip - long strip of toffeee

Lots are still around, like humbugs, Polos and fruit gums, but the above are the ones that take me straight back to pocket money day.

Are you thinking of having a birthday party as she would have had as a child? If so, don't forget little individual trifles in waxed paper containers that meant you got wax scraped onto your spoon.
Birthday cakes in the sixties were always like wedding cake, rich fruit cake with marzipan and icing on. I have always loved marzipan so I ate eveyrone else's!
Shrimps & sweet bananas! You can still get them, but they don't taste as good as they used to. xx
No,neither do white chocolate mice :(
You can still get fruit salads and blackjacks, happily. :)

Wine gums, American hard gums, cherry lips, floral gums, spaceships (horrid things), lucky bags, jublees, rainbow chocolate drops.....

Liquorice bootlaces.
