One of our casseroles was dropped and has an internal crack which has not gone though to the outside . Can it still be used or repaired or do we 'bin' it?

Unfortunately it will probably crack further with heat, so it might just be best to get rid. Plus of course the possible danger of fragments in the cooking........
Aren't Le Creuset supposed to be guaranteed for life? As they're cast iron, I would be very surprised if they should crack. Contact the manufacturers & see what they say before you bin it.

Oh, well, there we are! Cheers, in a pickle, I'd better be careful not to drop mine - I've got a stone floor, so don't know which would sustain the most damage!!

Thank you all. In the bin it goes.
Hi

Le Crueset do actually have a refurbishing centre, but generally for re - enammaling or non stick surface or rethreading handles.

Is it just the enamel that is cracked or the actual iron? If it is the iron, i would bin it, pretty much unsalvagable

But here is the Le Crueset Helpline number, im sure they can answer your questions: 0800 37 37 92
