I am very overweight. What I want to know is what can I say to my girlfriend that will stop her naging me to go ona diet? I've told her I am allergic to them, and now she doesn't believe me anymore when I tell her fried chicken is slimming, any ideas???
If you're happy with the way you are, that's fine, but it sounds as though your girlfriend isn't! It's not a case of her nagging at you for nothing. Being grossly overweight's dangerous, so it might help if you managed to get a bit off - before your girlfriend is!
Shomer - my son is a big man - 6'4" tall and very firm, both before and after he lost weight. Before he lost weight - when anyone would nag him about losing weight he would say:
"You don't take the chrome off a Cadillac!!!"
That usually shut them up.
He lost weight when he was ready - not when or because anyone nagged him.

I think it's because she said "firm" CD. I know what you mean
*sigh*
Shomer, I guess it depends on exactly how overweight you are. I would nag my hubby into losing weight if it meant he couldn't play with the kids without losing his breath, etc. Also, to an extent, I make an effort for my fella and i expect the same in return!
