Hi bartyarmy, I have checked ebay and they have quite a few for sale, both singles and in sets.. My first check revealed nothing, until I found out that the correct spelling is: splayds.

They are also (apparently), for sale in singles with an easy grip handle in shops that sell stuff for people with disabilities.

I've got a couple at home. When I bought them, they were labelled a "Spork" ie SPoon + fORK.

Googling for spork brings up quite a few sellers.

many thanks to you all cheers
Definitely a "spork" in my house. Mine even has a serrated blade down one side of the spoon part!
We too find our splayds most useful. Checking on the back I see they are made by Viners , so it might be worth while contacting them
