I have just looked on the net they say it varies from 3 to 12 months there are gadgets that take the oxygen out of the wine. Which will make it last longer.
Why i said the first comment like a said it was on a food programme and this question was asked..
Anyway next time just drink it and get sozzled :o)
I'm with brionon. I take the view that once a bottle is opened you drink it. ( Very quickly unless youv'e invited the neighbours around., which then means more than a single bottle where I live.)......hic; hic......Ron
I find usually after a day or two it's not worth drinking, depends how much air it was exposed to when you first opened it.
I like to jug my red wine a couple of times before drinking so it's not worth saving for the next day! Not that it normally lasts that long anyway!
Sorry Mr.k....I don't believe that a bottle of wine will keep for ever if it remains uncorked. ( Stopper left intact as opposed to air entering the bottle.) Even if it has one of those awful plastic 'corks' which break corkscrews.
Food and wine programmes can often be misleading. Anyway, once a bottle has been opened it should be drunk there and then; in my opinion......Ron.
