Errrr - don't add salt to anything you use to make the gravy?
Like Figgi, I would say, don't add too much salt.

If you use gravy granules or a stock cube - these are full of salt already so don't add any salt.

If it's still too salty try adding a tablespoon of tomato puree !

you're right I dont add salt of any kind - the bisto granules are already very salty - yet you can go to a nice restaurant and get a beautiful gravy - ta
You've just answered your own question! Instant gravy is full of salt - if you make your own gravy, its only as salty as you make it!
Plus all the added salt which comes out of the meat of course - yuck!
