Your life not being your own any more. You have to turn up to work no matter how you feel. It's a noose around your neck but it can give you many benefits if you get it right. Tips? Keep working. Never give up and keep pushing your boundaries. Don't get lacklustre and lazy....it'll slip from your fingers in no time at all.
Serve good fresh wholesome foods.
Generous portions and choice.
Be clean and tidy.

Good luck!
Ensure you and your staff are up to date with all the Health & Hygiene regulations. You will probably need to complete a Food Handling certificate. The Environmental Health Dept of your local council will advise you on what is necessary. Work out how you will fund your domestic bills if you are sick and can't open the cafe, so consider some health/sickness insurance. If you hire staff, especially if they are handling money, CHECK their references. Serve good quality food politely and cheerfully and don't let standards slip. Make every customer feel they are important. And bring yourself up to speed on running your own business by reading some books from the library. You will probably find they cover a lot of points you may not even have considered. Good Luck !
