Erm, seeing as nobody eats butter in our house I am probably not the best person to answer this. Anyway, here goes:
Brandy butter and Christmas pud
Garlic butter and snails or mushrooms or bead
Rum butter and mince pies

Always use finely chopped lemon thyme leaves in softened butter and place it under the skin of an uncooked chicken....then roast it and the meat is lemony, buttery and very moist.

Lover of anything that contains butter or cream, I make at home cinnamon butter. It's wonderful on fresh warm breads in the morning.

I learned from a woman not too far from where BBW lives to make the american scone called biscuits. I make them with buttermilk. Some days I use honey and butter that I've mixed together. And at other times I use cinnamon/sugar butter.

Ah....closer to Heaven!
