Creamola Foam - Anyone else miss it ???

Does anyone else miss Creamola Foam as much as me ? It was discontinued in 1998 due to " the high cost of production and low level of sales " ( so say nestle ) but i'm interested to know if people DO still like this drink and would welcome the return of it.

Definately. As a child this was purchased by my mother weekly. It was great. recently held a discussion at work on this very drink and the amount of people who also loved it was unbelievable.

I've heard several different stories about it's disappearance, first was that they had lost the recipe, the second, as talked about here that the production costs were far too high and the third, that it was incredibly bad for you. Nevertheless, all good things seem to be bad for you these days so who cares, just please bring it back�.. I'm 26 now and I think the last time I remember drinking creamola foam must've been about 1986 or 87. I never got the chance to mix it with vodka which I've wanted to do for years, probably just as well really. But what I would give anything to try would be a nice cold glass of raspberry creamola foam when I've got a hangover. I'm sure it would be an instant cure!!! I seem to recall the young girl and boy on the tin had the same hairstyles as Mike Reed from Saturday Morning Superstore��...

My child hood was laced with Cremola Foam, Orange was the best . The fact that we all crave the taste years on must be a true test of its over whelming brilliance. I will support in time or money or letter any campain to bring it back .

I loved creamola foam!! It was the highlight of the weekly grocery shop.  I would greatly welcome the return of one of my favourite childhood pleasures!

I loved creamola Foam I have been looking for it everywhere and someone told me to try the internet I really wish I could get it again as its the only thing I ever want to drink when I am pregnant. How could something so tasty been taken away its like the secret bars they had them one minute and got rid of them the next whats a person to do, especially when you have one of those nites when you really have a taste for them.

Creamola foam was just amazing, both my hubbie and I loved the raspberry, its totaly crap now that you cant get it, I would love for my kids to try it. Come on Nestle get yer finger out yer arses. BRING BACK CREAMOLA FOAM!!!

There was an article about CF in the Metro newspaper a couple of years back and someone said it was available in Safeway, Airdrie.  I went out there but it was obviously not true.

I wrote to their HO in South Africa to tell them the folly of their ways and asked  them to at least supply me with a crate of the stuff and name their price for the privilege!

I got a standard e-mail back to say that (effectively) the line had passed it's market shelf life, that the marketing department had taken the decision to withdraw it in the light of receding sales, that such decisions were not arrived at lightly and that there were no plans to reintroduce it etc.

I wrote back to say they had not the slightest idea of how popular a return to our shelves it would prove to be as people all over the place were clamouring for it....and suggested that declining sales were due to the fact that the product simply did not get enough publicity, so much so that the younger generation were never going to buy something they had never even heard of!

A short reply came back to say they would not change their views.  And so......

I wrote back to say if they were not going to reintroduce it then it logically followed that they would not be in the least concerned if I manufactured and sold it myself!!!  (I have neither the money or know-how to do this but they didn't know that - I just wanted to see if that would make them rethink the issue).

Surprise surprise, they quickly replied that they held the manufacturing rights, name etc and would immediately resort to litigation if I did any such thing. End of story!

So, yes, I will put my name to the petition. But a concerted effort is required here: methinks this needs to go national and raise at least 10,000 names before there's any chance of getting a result. Anybody up for it?

I absolutely adored it, my sister and I used to drink the lemon one all the time. We would put so much in the glass that it would overflow and we would have to drink it very fast. Yummmmmm, hurry up and bring it back.........

I loved it when I was little but moved to England where no-body had ever heard of it, I'm so pleased to find some fellow fans - after reading this I had a look on the Nestle web site where I found the where can I find creamola foam was one of the most frequently asked questions!!  has anyone tried ringing the company they direct you too??

I remember cremola foam from my childhood.....now 28 years and everyone down in kent has never heard of it!!  i remember mum buying it in the local co-op on the saturday in inverness!  i bought my last tub in sept 98 my first year of uni in aberdeen and it was never to be seen again.....i searched and searched to no avail!!

boo hoo...i would buy a tin every week if we could have it back.  i would get it sent over the border by my mammy!!

it foams and fizzes it fizzes and foams as the advert used to say and i think that it had that right taste of rasberry and strawberry not sure about the orange but owell i think nestle suck for taking it away but to bring it out more for the younger generation i think they should send out some free samples!!!!!! i hope that they do bring it out and i know for sure it will defiantly sell!!!!!!!!!
