How long can you keep frozen beef for?

I have an unopened pack of minced beef in the freezer from 3 months ago, it says no the pack that it should be consumed within a month of freezing. Is this really true?

Provided it is kept cold enough to stop bacteria growth then it won't "go off", but it's eating quality will dimish over time.

So it won't kill you if you eat it, but it may not taste as good as it would have done when fresh.

alright no worries. I will defrost and cook thoroughly, as long as it doesnt kill me Im happy to consume it :-)
