It most defintitly wasn't Dentene, I've googled that and that was a chewing gum supposedly designed to be healthy for teeth and your breath. The Germolene stuff never claimed to be healthy, probably had so many additives in it that it would scare ya- and it wasn't chewing gum either, it was a bubble gum.
