Are there foods drinks etc that you have never
tasted but would like to try? I have just
discovered olives which I know are an acquired
taste, try Sainsburys Taste the Difference
stuffed Manzanilla olives. Other suggestions
please

there are loads of things ive never tasted

olives, as you say
sushi
caviar
frogs legs

hang on my lasagne is ready
Kalamata olives are yum! Caviar is like little balls full of sea water (yuck - although it would be interesting to try the really good stuff). I've had ostrich steak which is like fillet steak. I've also had wild boar which was good. Have never had truffle (fungus variety) so guess I'd like to try that.
i LOVE OLIVES.......stuffed with anchovies or feta-yum! I too would like to try truffles-just to see what the hype is about.
Never had venison and fancied trying it, but when I saw it in the shop it looked like liver and I hate liver, put me right off!
I too have never had venison. Also I would like to try caviar, truffles and haggis!!
Sorry to sound dumb what what on earth is truffles?? thought they were chocolates?
snails
ooh Venison is lovely

but its very deer lol
truffles are fungus
I'd love to try truffles too. There are however loads of foods I have never tried, but have absolutely no intention to! lol That includes frog legs, snails (and yes, I know I'm French, but still), giblets, insects, crocodile, kangaroo, shark, turtle soup......I could go on.

I would love to taste a REALLY expensive meal in an REALLY expensive restaurant, just to see what the fuss is really about.
maximo are you ~max~ ?
Yes Weeal, ~max~ has been banned for some reason, so I'm using my old trusted ID! :O(
oh thats a shame, in the dungeon, hope youre well
just stuffed olives, i think they're heavenly my fave are stuffed with garlic but you really have to be on your own for that one.

I'm allergic to cooked toms but i would love to try really good pasta with an authentic pasta sauce, they look so nice but i have to stay clear :-(
Thanks Weeal, I'm good! I don't really mind having been banned, although I liked the name ~max~ better, as it "looks" more feminine somehow! lol...:O(
Thanks for clearing that up!!! Think i will give them a miss though. eeewwwwww.
Hello Mary, I will try anything, recently In venice I had aome truffles and found it a bit disappointing, very expensive mushroom if you ask me what it was like, I didn't find it that good. also Caviar, can't stand it, maybe thats cos I'm common as muck though.

Have any of you lot tried our cockney delight "Pie, mash and Liquor"? The liquor is a parsley sauce which I believe is made with the water eels are cooked in, the pie is minced beef, you have the liquor poured all over the pie and mash, smother it in vinegar and pepper and eat with a fork and spoon, If you ever go to bermondsey, go to "Manzes" in Tower Bridge Road and try it, its superb, quality food.
i have never had scollops before so i bought some last night and i am going to cook them tonight! what is the best way to cook them? just with a little salt n pepper?
There were some interesting looking tins in the Polish section of our local supermarket with an unpronounceable name. Underneath somebody had a neatly printed translation "Braised guts"

No - I didn't try them.....
