chocolate cake.

yesterday i made my kids put down the Nintendo DS's and we baked a cake and covered it with chocolate with a butter cream centre........... it only bloody turned out nice!!!

are cookies easy to make, or what do you recommend our next step should be?

I find cookies easier to make than a cake!!!
I cannot bake to save my life.

I sure if you google you will find some lovely recipes.

My fave are my peanut cookies and I'm trying to remember the recipe.

Egg/flour/pinch salt/vanilla essence/sugar/unsalted peanuts.
I cannot remember quanities but mix all and bake until crunchy. Yum.
