freezing pork

wot is the max time u can keep pork in the freezer ?
most people have been saying 3-6 months.
i,ve been given a pork joint that has been in the freezer
since oct 2006 , it looks a bit dodgy.

the practical storage life for pork is 6 months
The other week, I had a leg of our own pork that had been in the freezer since July 2005 - and (apart from a wee bit of freezer burn, where I didn't cover it properly when I froze it) it was lovely!!
