Why does eating spicy food make you sweat?
3 Answers
Is it just that the food is generally hot (temperature) or is it something in the spices?

Spicy food with chillies even garlic, peppers etc. speed up your metabolism and that makes you warmer. I had a curry the other night when the temperature didn't drop below 20 degrees all night (silly me) and I sweated buckets!
I also when dieting, use a very slight amount of hot pepper sauce in my salad's /chicken etc. as this does aid in losing weight with the faster metabolism (but be careful, it's VERY hot stuff).
