Hi All,
I'm going to decorate about 140 cupcakes for a wedding in a few weeks, is it possible to cut out discs of sugar paste icing in advance and store them again so that they don't dry at all before I attache them to the cakes the day before the wedding, hope someone can advise me, Thank you in advance............welsh

Still at it welsh? Im sure it would be ok, we keep Xmas cakes for ages dont we? What you could do is make up a sample now to see? This time last year I was preparing for my daughters wedding on May 11th:-))

Hi josie, Oh yes I'm still at it!! I'm in such a tizz, all those cakes to decorate, and I'm also arranging all of the flowers and buttonholes and bouquets, so I thought if I can cut out the sugarpaste beforehand it would save some time, but if it doesn't stay soft, it'll have been a waste of time, I thought of layering the discs in cling film and storing them in airtight containers, but not sure if it'll work. I think I'll take your advice and just try a few, and see how they're fairing next week, good to hear from you down there in Penarth, not so far away, I'm in Porthcawl. Thank you .........welsh
