Yup, trip to Iceland bite sized sos rolls. Get a big bag of pasta and a jar of mayo for pasta salad. Tuna fish - fill it out with diced onion, cucumber, red pepper, sweetcorn nibblets and mix in some mayo or dressing, put out on HALF a bridge roll (so it's an 'open' sandwich also, DON'T make sandwiches, if you put out a platter of cold meats and a couple of platters of buttered rolls it'll look more. Egg mayo and cress. Rice salad, homemade coleslaw, finely shred a white cabbage, grate a couple of big carrots and some onion mix in mayo/salad cream vinegrette. Cooked baby new potatoes, spring onion and gerkins for potato salad, bowls of washed kettuce, platters of sliced cue and toms, bowls of onion rings. cocktail sausages (Iceland again) jars of Dip - tomato/ cheesy/ yoghurty thypes and put out toasted torn pieces of pitta bread (cheaper than crisps or tortilla chips) do some chicken nuggets to go with dips too. Ritz type crackers with cream cheese from the tube garnished with chopped spring onion tops, fresh herbs. get a couple of packets of bread mix, make up, spread with pizza sauce a little grated cheese and some mushrooms/peppers/sweetcorn/what ever you have!

At that price I`d only cater for 80, unless it is something really special like a christening where I find people eat a lot more , due to the time of the day etc. I bet you will still have leftovers. Give them home made salads, sandwiches, sausage rolls, etc. I find going to asda when you are on a tight budget the best, or farmfoods for your frozen stuff..
I take it this is for a friend? Otherwise you must be mad!!
We were always told the cost of your overheads should be a third of your selling price, so you should be spending only 50 on grub.
Don`t be scared to ask for more money if it`s not a friend as they will be well pushed to get it cheaper. depending of course on what they are expecting for the money.
good luck

Do you have a Chinese Hyper Market near you? Wing Yip for example, thats where all the take away people go to buy their stuff in bulk.
You can get massive boxes of frozen stuff for next to nothing when worked out on a cost per item price, for example a box of 100 spring rolls would cost about 10 so about 10p each.
