A dish that combines fish and meat. Typically a steak sliced three-quarters of the way through and stuffed with a crayfish or lobster tail.

Surf and Turf was originally some clever restaurateur's shorthand for a filet mignon and lobster tail dinner. Very pricey but somewhat sophisticated. You don't hear it much anymore in the States.
