In the Come Dine With Me that I have just watched, the cook, Gordon, used a pastry boat maker to make his smoked cream salmon canapes. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a pastry boat machine? I've never seen one and do love gadgets!

http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/!11189_ 11188 Sorry didn`t see the programme but pastry boat tins are sold here, and probably in cookware shops.

Thank you for that oldwoman. I should have explained that the one shown on the programme was an electric pastry boat maker. As I've never seen one, I shall have to go with your suggestion and get the small tins in Lakeland. It could be a costly visit, I usually go into Lakeland for one thing, and come out with ten!!
I did get mine from Lakeland a couple of years ago it is a party pastry maker by team international.

Now can only find it on Scotts of Stow site

That's just the thing I saw on the programme, thank you so much sense4all. I had rung my local Lakeland, but they no longer stock this item. Just as a point of nosiness, do you use your pastry boat and are you pleased with the end result?
My kid goes to an International School and I am the mother who knocks up a job lot of mini mince pies for the other kids to taste ... they didn't eat the big ones. It's fine, lives in the cupboard for the rest of the year mostly.
I have just purchased one online from Team UK1 Ltd. The email contact is [email protected] so hope you can get one from them. Lakeland don't seem to have them anymore not do Scotts.
I did get one from Manetia.

I recently bought a great 3 in 1 set which comes with recipes.

The 3 in 1 is really great as it has interchangeable baking plates so I can choose whether to make Waffles, Christmas Party Decorations or Pastry Boats. The pastry boats are like these halves of nuts thats can be filled.

I like it because I can make sweet or savoury snacks or cookies.

The 3 in 1 sets are available now from http://www.manetia.co.uk - as Alin mentioned above with the recipe video.

I hope this helps!
