birds eye chilli's
10 Answers
Yesterday I made my first complete home made chilli and while it was very nice i did something I now realise was very stupid!
I cut the chillis up without wearing gloves and my finger (just under the nails) have been on fire ever since!
I've washed, scrubbed and tried soaking them but nothing is working and its nearly been 24hours!
Help!!! pls anyone got a cure

serious suggestion ivy.....
don't scratch or pick anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yogurt or full fat milk is good to kill the active ingredient on the loips or skin.....but it won't neutralise the chilli itself if you have the stuff trapped under your nails
get a microfibre cloth
use it dry to clean your nails
then wet to finish the job
you'll then be able to stop the pain by dipping your finger in the pot of yoghurt (or stophurt).
