Travelling chocolate cake

Is it possible to to bake chocolate cake that would survive a trip in the mail to Afghanistan (my son is serving with the army out there) and still be edible? Presentation is not an issue - it just needs to be edible after a couple of weeks of travelling.

this is the best recipes I've found so far...using buttermilk or oils instead of marg or butter makes the cake moister and therefore lasts longer
