im having a party ,and doing a buffet i would like to label the foood as some people are vegatarian does anyone know were i can buy those standing up signs that would look nice on the table

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I don't know where you could buy them, but you make them very cheaply - thread cocktail sticks through little triangles made of card (use green card and either print or neatly write a large V on each piece) and stick one through one of the buffet snacks, you'd only need one per plate then. I will keep looking to see if I can find some you can buy though.
I've found some card stands that might be suitable - you'd have to create the cards with the necessary *V* to slot into them. There are loads of different types shown on this site:-

Hey, Mr Pickle... what a brilliant idea ! As a veggie too, I simply only offer veggie food but I am still cautious when eating out. An *ahem* veggie friend of mine (she calls herself a veggie but still eats fish, hence my use of *ahem*..lol) put on a buffet when she got married but since she included fish on the table, a lot of us were very confused. I still had to ask mates to test taste stuff for me to find out what it contained - it's very hard to see inside samosas, pastries etc !
Anyway, the point of my reply here is to mention to Lucydog that veggies (generally) don't eat:- meat and fish, whilst vegans (generally) don't eat:- meat, fish, dairy produce and eggs.
I don't like those *pretend* meats etc (Quorn, textured veg protein etc) because they taste like meat and I don't know many veggies in the UK who like them either.
