Ok my husband is 60 next week and I want to get him some sweets he had as a boy. you know , flying saucers etc. Can I please have all of you who are the same age range to give me an idea of what else they sold on the sweet counter. 4 for I penny!!.

Gob stoppers that changed colour as you sucked off the outer layers. Ha'penny chews (though I guess they were 2 a penny!), sherbert lemons, aniseed balls, liquorice rope, ... and plenty more I can't remember but that should be a start, if you can find them all now.
I saw a smallish see through bucket containing flying saucers in Asda the other week. It's worth a try.

Also did sweet shops sell strawberry bon bons then? Mine and brothers absolute fave!!!!
