For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It used to be brewed at the Whitbread brewery in Sheffield, where the pub next door to the brewery was the only one in the country to sell it on draught. (Even so, they only allowed you to buy a third of a pint at a time).
It's still available in many supermarkets but it's now only in cans rather than in bottles. You can also buy it online:

Years ago, when I worked nights, I used to drink a six pack a day to help me sleep (ordinary beer). It got me to sleep but the trouble was I kept waking to have a pee, so I switched to gold label.
I found it great stuff - 2 cans and I was tipsy, 3 and I was gone, and no peeing. Unfortunately though I built up a resistance to it. Yeah I had the same amount of alcohol in me but eventually even a four pack didn't knock me out.
I still have the odd can though
