if you have ever been to france,buy cheesecake and its got real cheese in it.i think when the brits coppied it they decided to go for a sweeter version and not include the cheese.the origanal tastes brill,try it,i know one of the big supermarkets sell it as it really should be.
I think the cheesecake we have in Britain does have cheese in it.
Elsewhere in Europe they have cooked cheesecakes which are quite a different thing. Very nice though. (Is that what you had, Vinny100?)

Cheesecake in the US is made from cream cheese or ricotta, mixed with eggs and sugar, and baked. I don't know what you have in the UK, but here the cheese is pretty obvious!
