Ready Steady cook

Does anyone know what's happened to this BBC2 show ?.....i used to watch it religiously and it's one of the few cookery programmes which gives you lots of ideas and tips on bringing flavours together and cooking really nice food.

Will it return ?

Well i emailed the show direct for anyone who likes the show...and the reply i got was this

Unfortunatley, exactly when Ready Steady Cook will return hasn't been confirmed yet but it should sometime in January. Thanks very much for getting in contact

i watched an old show on saturday, with denise van outen and john barrowman (filmed when they were choosing 'maria') and used one of the things they did with sweet potatoes for dinner on saturday evening. have to say i did get a little bored with the series at one point, but seeing it on saturday has rekindled my enthusiasm and i look forward to seeing the new series in january.

This has happened to me several times before - a programme which has become a regular is suddenly removed from the schedules! It seems that the BBC (who we are paying for) just produce what they want without any thought for the fee paying public !
