Quick question about frozen meat balls.

Hi! I just took some meatballs out of the freezer for dinner, but I don't have a microwave....I forgot to take them out last night.
Can I just stick them in the oven frozen?
I'd normally shallow fry them, but this isn't possible now, is it?

Obviously....But I'm talking about a difference in bacterial development, maybe? As in, the chances of food poisoning would be increased?
max bash on i am sure others as before have the answer!!!
If they were the Scan Swedish meatballs, it says you can cook them from frozen anyway on the pack. I have shallow fried frozen Scan ones many times with no problems.
to be honest, i dont really care anymore!!!

Hi Mortartube. They were normal Tesco beef meatballs, raw. I'm not experiencing any ill effects yet....:O)

A bit angry for a Food thread, Puddicat, don't you think?
As a Lurker I can see Puddicat`s point of view. It looks as if everyone was riding roughshod over her chosen profession, Chef. But I`m also sure that no-one meant to do it. It was a little bit of a meatball stew, and I`m sure it has all blown over now. Any more updates, Max!
