Chicken gone off?

How can you tell if chicken has gone off? I have a chicken breast which has been in the fridge and it has gone a bit white. It doesnt smell at all though. I ate one out of the same packet yesterday and it was fine.

If it smells ok it hould be fine. Doesn't chicken go a grey colour when off? And im sure it really really stinks too.

You will know if it is off. Chicken stinks when it turns.

it would realy stink if it was off, take care to cook it properly

wash under some warm water

if chicken is offf it absolutely reeks

i used to cut fresh chixckens up into portions

breast , wings , legs , thighs


trust me if chicken is offf you will know as sooon as you open the fridge dooor.

should keep ok refrigerated for 2 or 3 days no problem if stored correctly.

I thought i could tell by smell. What a fast response! There is no smell at all so i guess its ok. Am cooking it for 5 hours in my slow cooker in a chili con carne sauce! Thanks everyone.

If you are in doubt, don't eat chicken that may be off.

Food poisoning is no joke. Sitting on the loo for hours on end may not be your idea of fun either.

Buy some fresh and eat within the bast by date - you'll be much happier!
