yes, i have heard bicarb works too. if the fridge is switched off for any amount of time you should leave the door open to help reduce smelly build ups.
Wash the fridge with either lemon juice,or vinegar,or bicarb mixed with water. They are all odour neutralisers.
Then place a full, opened box of bicarb in the fridge. That SHOULD help.
mix up a bowel of warm water and a few drops of lavander oil also a few table spoons of white wine viniger wipe over place a small bowl of uncooked rice in fridge this will obsorb the smell and leave overnight if this dont work maybe time for a new one
We had an older refrig. w/ same problem. The repairman showed us a drain pan flush underneath the bottom of the refrig. that needed to be cleaned out. I don't know if all had them or not, or if certain models. It was groady........it relates to the drainage hole the above answer refered to.
Good Luck!
check a little compartment behind the fridge. It contains drainage from inside the fridge. Clean that and check the little whole inside the fridge which drains the water from melted ice and pour a little dettol and let it run through. Just did mine. It worked. Hope it helps.
