Hello,
I want to make a Christmas Pud from Jamie Oliver's DVD.
The one he makes fits a 1.5l basin, but i only want a third of that size.
He strams his for 3 hours, how do I adjust the steaming time accordingly please?
Love

Thank you. I'm still not sure though because the 3 hour steaming was the only one it got. It was made on Christmas eve and steamed for 3 hours on Christmas day.
My gran used to make the pudding in November. Then steam it for hours. Then stem it again every week for an hour having added more booze to it each time. Then steam it again on Xmas day so it was hot and ready for lunch
Maybe that was a little excessive, but it did taste really nice.
Rollo that sounds like a wonderful pudding.
I know it should be done way in advance, but this recipe is really light, a bit like a sponge pud or suet pud with fruits if you see what I mean. It's not a hefty dark one. nobody has room for that after Christmas Dinner in our house!
