Can you make roasties in an Actifry? I know that it can be used to make wedges so wondered if it could do full roasties. Would I need to part boil the spuds first?
Has anyone tried it?

I know someone who makes them in an actifry and raves about them.

Do you know how he/she does them ie whether part-boiled and for how long etc?
do not par boil the spuds first, but keep them small, about the size of a quails egg.Cook till done (trial and error).poptato scallops (slices ) are better.
shivvy saw them do a demostration on a shopping channel and they didnt par boil them,just went in raw looked fantasic

Puddicat - what size were the spuds? Were they 'normal' sized roasties or smaller?
Hi there, we *love* Tefal Actifry Roasties, they're much better than in the oven ones and are wonderful and crispy on the outside, with a fabulous fluffiness to their interior. I never make oven roasties anymore, and the Aunt Bessies (and other good branded!) Roasties don't even taste as good.

All I do is chop a fist sized baking spud into 6 pieces, wipe off excess water from the spuds, put in some olive oil (the green spoon recommended amount) and add some pepper (optional), let them circle round for 20 mins or until as crispy as you like, and quoila! Perfect Roasties everytime :)

Note: Don't overload your Actifry, that's one of the main reasons for squishy chips and roasties.
