can i get saffron from the crocus in my own garden, which has all colors

Only if it's the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus), which you'll be able to tell by the saffron colored stigmas... Unlike most spring growing crocii this ones an Autumn flowering varietal...

I have managed to save saffron from the autumn flowering Crocus Sativus- I just dried it out on kitchen paper. Unfortunately there was no sign of the plants the following year-possibly a tasty treat for mice?
