Well to get the ball rolling monosaccharides are single hexoses and include compounds such as glucose, fructose and galactose. Disaccharides are two monosaccharides joined together and the most commond in shakes is sucrose (table sugar) which is glucose and fructose. Less common ones are lactose (galactose and glucose) and maltose (two glucoses). As for the exact composition in shakes isn't there nutritional info on the carton?
