half suet to amount of s.r. flour. mix and roll out. into a soft dough like consistency. place bacon pieces &onion slices on top and roll to seal. wrap in greaseproof paper and steam for about an hour, more if larger.

i make bacon and onion roll and its great, 12oz sr flour, 6oz beef suet ,mix with water to make into dough, roll out as you would normal pastry, place tr on a baking tray add bacon and 1 large sliced onion on pastry and fold over to make a long oval shape ,and bake in oven 160 untill golden brown and crispy. ps i usually use a pack of cooking bacon which you can get from most supermarkets. james.
