calm down noknob - it's only a s0dding sponge cake...

4ozs sugar
4ozs flour (selfraising)
4ozs butter or marg
2 eggs

multiply up if need more

beat the sugar and butter together til creamy
add flour and eggs and mix

then cook.

thats a basic recipe.

and you need tins to cook them in......

When you add the eggs and flour add some of the egg followed by some of the flour and stir it gently. Do it bit by bit alternating between the two or it curdles.
