wanting some new ideas for meals i can cook for me and my hubby. we dont tend to eat carbs in the evening so i feel a bit restricted with my meals now ive run out of ideas. any help much appreciated!
Vegetable gratins go well with fish, meat etc . such as cauliflower, courgettes, tomatoes or broccoli.
As summer's coming up there are hundreds of mixed tossed salads with low fat mayonnaise and grilled meat or fish to go with it.
We love omelettes with a green salad too.
We sometimes use finely sliced savoy cabbage instead of spaghetti in spag bol- steam it or stir fryand then use - its nice and takes up the sauce quite well
i found a recipe on answerbank once that i LOVE: you fry some onions, bits of bacon, chorizo and whole stalk of coriander, then add a big pack of frozen peas and cover with stock. cook this for about 40 minutes. then just before serving crack a couple of eggs on top and cover until cooked. voila: portugese pean and egg stew
