For my wedding favours I was going to give the ladies some chocolates in a pretty reusable bag but unsure what to give to the gents.  Did not want to give a minature of alcohol so wondered did anyone have any good ideas?

Bookmarkers, paper knives, bottle stoppers, cufflinks and tie pins amongst some things, have a blast on google there is always loads of stuff on there.
if its chocolates for the ladies why not chocolate liquers for the men.

Lottery tickets are very popular now.  Alternatively you could look at giving fortune cookies to all the guests, which is what we did as we wanted something different (we got ours through as company called Sweet Thoughts).

You're right. I wouldn't give the guys gargle if the women were only getting chocs.  A riot would break out.

I don't have a suggestion other than what's already been offered here, but I do have to agree with someone else's comment vis a vis giving women chocolate and men liquor...  For many years when I worked as a buyer in the steel industry, come holiday time, the men in the department would often get gifts of liquor from suppliers, while the women would get candy or something similar.  I don't understand that school of thought - most women I know enjoy a drink as much as the average man.
maybe joan doesn't want to give any of them alcohol, its not for everyone and if you need a type of gift that all will enjoy alcohol might not be suitable... having said that i can't think of anything else anymore ... (is the bar open yet)
all the guys I know would enjoy the chocs (although you will NEVER get them to admit it) probaly in a more manly wrapping though!
I was not aware that men were evere giving their own version of 'favours.  my understanding that it was traditionally soemthing only done for female guests.  I would not expect anything - the only thing I would expect is space on the floor to do some 'dad dancing' to the disco!

How about a bridesmaid each?
