I've had food poisoning from local Tesco pie and friend has week off work with severe bug from chicken pie bought at Camden.

Maybe a dodgy batch?

not yet....will do!
Always look at the back of the pack to check if they use Imported Chicken in their Products. Make sure you cook all these products thoroughly. Many Ready Meals from these Supermarkets use imported Meat Products which I am wary of. Use British Meat or Poultry whenever possible, because by doing that you are supporting the British Farmers !

Got the 2 pie wrapper, says Tesco, end date 16 May. Shared with son; all other meals eaten separately yesterday. Son had same but recovered today.
That still doesn't convict Tesco. You have to be very careful and very sure before you start lobbing out accusations against responsible suppliers.

Please give more details. Exactly what did you and your son eat, and when. What did you eat with it? Also, symptoms, onset, etc.

Be careful before you blame Tesco.
Then surely if it was a dodgy pie your son would be ill too?
sorry, just read the "son recovered yesterday" bit.

he was BOO....that's why I warned. Checked wrapper, no mention of imported meats.
So, let's start again, how do you know it was the Tesco chicken pie? It is a pretty serious accusation.

Good job it weren't a pork pie - you'd have swine flu.

Phoned Tesco - they offered refund with receipt. Another chicken pie consumer suffering a week of work makes me worry - 'tho am ok now.

CPie with Heinz baked beans only at 8pm. Symptoms 3am severe stomach ache, sweats & dizziness. Dragged myself to toilet as couldn't stand. Accident on way (both ends)! On toilet for 1hour & vomitting.
Just a refund with receipt? That's not much.

Good contribution from legend by the way. Not a trace of personal attack.

whifffey....Tesco r my fav store that's why I warn on chicken pies rather than Tesco. Am sure there must be a central manufacturer who supplies the pies.
i thought by saying you was head trolly-boy he was bigging you up whiffey
Well tamborine, I'm glad you are better. I can't get too much on a pro-Tesco high horse because over the years I have never bought a commercial chicken pie nor ever will.

Was it cooked or uncooked when you bought it?

No, legend is just an unpleasant taste who doesn't know the time and place to post insults.
