We've all been caught without anything in the fridge, and had to improvise, so what is the most desperate meal you've ever made yourself?

dried spaghetti and packet of curry sauce mix - both cooked according to directions in hope it would taste like a curry.  Be warned - it doesn't!
A sandwich made from white bread, margarine and reconstituted dried supernoodles (not one for the Atkins brigade) and a cup of soup made from Marmite and hot water.  How did I not get scurvy or beri beri as a student?
Wotsit sandwiches.
A pot noodle with a boiled egg and tin of sardins mixed together.

Was actually quite nice.
Stale crackers topped with lime pickle.
Cup-a-soup followed by instant custard eaten straight from the tin. Not really a meal, but borne out of desperation all the same. At scout camp my brother ate cornflakes with custard and reported back that it was quite nice.

my mate Andy once ate a sage and bun-case sandwich, honestly.

but we were very very drunk.

What is bun-case?

bun = cup cake

bun case = paper case for baking cup cakes in

gmc2002 - so he had a sage and paper sandwich?
Having been away from home for several days, on returning late I found a bowl of cold mashed potatos, a loaf of sourdough bread and a large yellow onion.  One inch thick potatos still cold) on sourdough, some salt and pepper and thick slice of onion. Very, very tasty, etc....
my regular one is curry pot noodle sandwich, however my worst was celery and toothpaste sandwiches. My mate topped this by eating a can of dog food when at my place once.

Pretty impressive stuff. The best so far has to be lime pickle on stale crackers. That was one empty fridge. My ketchup sandwich seems positively gourmet stuff by comparison!
After a night on the lash, and despite having a relatively healthy cupboard I quite got into cold bhuna curry paste on water biscuits.
Marmalade on dry weetabix.  So difficult is should become an olympic sport.
dried spaghetti with sweet chilli dipping sauce, it doesn't taste too bad if you wash it down with strong black coffee (because there's no milk left in the fridge)

During a rather severe attack of 'the munchies' I once had Weetabix with tomato puree topping (salt and pepper to taste).....not as bad as I thought...although I had to drink the equivalent of a full bath of water afterwards...

sorry this question was from months ago but I just found it, all we had to eat one time was plain boiled rice mixed in with a tin of beans.  Quite foul I assure you
