Help! Dulce de leche (toffee sauce)

Hi has anyone got any ideas on what aisle the dulce de leche would be on in a supermarket?! I can't even pronounce it to ask! Planning on looking in Tesco and Morrisons. Thanks

I've been looking for this item and not having any luck. Searched the web, and it seems to have disappeared. An alternative is made by Nestles in a tin, but needs to be beaten before use. Tesco don't sell it anymore, and neither do Sainsburys. If anyone has any info please pass it on. Thanks

BettM - sent the boyfriend to Tesco and Asda last night he couldn't find it anywhere, he said that Asda have a toffee sauce in their extra special range so think I'm going to use that as an alternative.

Look at the Dulche de leche San Ignacio website. It lists stockists everywhere - you may find a shop near you.

Clanad's attempt at spelling the correct pronounciation is completely wrong (unless you want to get laughed at).
Try to say it without making every 'e' sound like an 'ay' but like an 'e' is supposed to sound like i.e. the 'e' in 'egg'.

FF'sake it is not pronounced 'dool chay'. dul se (pronounced like 'e' in egg and not 'ay') de le che (no FN 'ay' pronounciation)

I have a feeling 'elf & safety' advice is not to boil tins of condensed milk!! But then, they will have us all behaving like sheep before long!
