It looked and tasted no different from when cooked, except that it was cold Try it!
Save on energy; save on boiling over; and time needed to watch it to stop it sticking.
In the unlikely event it were to be eaten alone, (as is the custom in parts of Italy - children's school dinners for example - (and very sensible instead of pandering and providing all sorts of unsatisfactory food), you might be able to tell the difference in flavour. But here it's usually covered in some kind of meat, dressing or whatever.
