How long should i keep beef in the freeer until it goes off?

For years if it is kept cold enough.

Its flavour and texture will deterioate over time, but it would still be safe to eat if no bacteria had grown on it.

Some of the flesh from 40,000-year-old frozen mammoths is considered by some scientists to be sufficiently well preserved as to be edible - though I haven't heard that any of them actually tried it!

It dehydrates after 3months - not good.

If you are hungry and it's in a stew you will eat it with no
dire consequences as it will be cooked for ages ...
