When baking fairy cakes does it matter what temperature the oven is at? Will they work out the same if its at gas 4 or gas 7 but will just take longer/shorter to cook, depending?
Also any tips or other recipes for them appreciated.

Well if you put them into a no 7 oven they'll cook very quickly and when they're brown enough the inside won't be cooked. If you put them onto a No 4 (this would be too cool in my oven) they will be able to rise but will dry out rather than get golden. No 5 works fine for me but all depends on your oven.
