I've bought a goose breast intending to try out for Christmas but it does not give a clue about cooking time so would be most grateful for any advice. It's 800g and on the bone (have just bought one to try but will clearly need more on the day) so if cooking more than one would I need to increase the cooking time? Thanks in advance, any help much appreciated as otherwise no dinner tonight.

Roasting times
Cook for 10 mins at 240C/fan 220C/gas 9, then reduce to 190C/fan 170C/gas 5 and cook for 20 mins per kg for medium-rare, 32 mins per kg for more well-done, plus 30 mins resting.
How to carve
Goose breasts are shallow, so take a sharp, long thin-bladed knife and angle it at about 90 degrees to the breastbone, carving from the neck end. Detach the legs, then slice off the thigh meat

Thanks very much for the link and your advice mccfluff - have long been a fan of goose fat for roasters - hopefuly this will solve the Christmas dinner meat dilemma.
I've never tried goose. What's it like? I was thinking of trying one this year.
its nice but its quite fatty and rich. i like it but only occasionally!
Anything like duck?
a bit more so than chicken or turkey
