if i have a pub / restaurant am i limited to selling food in the restaurant area? ie if the restaurant is full is it legal to overflow into the bar area?

of course you can overflow into the bar.. as long as there's somewhere to put the plate, then people can eat... they can eat packets of crisps & bar meals in the bar, & proper meals too..
same applies to eating outside, ie. garden area.. as long as it is actually on the licensed premises
