ooh so i did - you noticed then
sara ... you're right about the cleaning thing ... it if a bit of a faff.

And if you leave it, the coffee and milk dry all over it (although most of it has splattered all over the work surface).

I should have asked for a Bosch for Christmas.
I'm just imagining sara with her power drill, pretending to be the tough marine from Aliens ...

... with the big gun ... was she called Vasquez, I think !
Sach... I have tried both, and duck fat is definitely better than goose fat. It's recommended by the Good Housekeeping guide too. But if you are making potatoes for 2/3 people, you only need about 3tbsps. Don't drown the potatoes in fat. xx
Oh... and get the fat smoking hot in the oven tray before chucking the taters in. :-0
wot about your views on one cup coffee makers -no merc
thanks Jayne (and sorry Sachs!). my kitchen is small and I just need something compact and mess free.

and the drill makes me feel like Lara Croft.. love it ;o)

I'm not terribly acquainted with one-cup coffee makers, beejay. But funny you should say that, I need to replace my old espresso making, milk frothing thingamejig that I broke back in the summer. I might have a look in the sales today.

I think the famous people thing has been done to death !! Did like the different names for sex, though... Shame I missed that one.
NoMercy, I apologise for jumping on the bandwagon.

I still think the first thread was the best :o)
