I'm not keen on beef but Mr jd fancied some roast beef for xmas dinner.
I seared it in a frying pan, then put it in the oven on full heat for 20 mins covered with foil & then put it on gas mark 5 still covered for the rest of the time (2 1/2 hours) I must admit, it turned out absolutely delicious.
Had all the trimmings with it & it went down well.
Can anyone give me tips on how to cook beef (any cut) so that it's melt in the mouth and not chewy please
I have bought myself Rib of Beef Steak for tomorrow and I will Grill it.....about 4 min each side as I don't like overcooked Meat. Roasting Meat is down to how you like it cooked i.e Rare, Medium or Welldone.
The way you roasted yours in the Oven sounds really delicious !
Hi EDDIE51
I've not got a slow cooker and i've been thinking about getting one but thats all - i've been thinking about it!
Does it not mean that the food cooked in it is all 'overcooked?'
aah now jack, tiniest thing and male ego in the same sentence LOL
I don't think food gets over cooked in a slow cooker, there was a thread on here a day or so ago about slo-cookers, can't promise a link but I'll have a look
