Recipe please ? mmmm
mmm nice.....when I was little a lady down our street used to make it to sell........she also made toffee apples which you don't seem to see much nowadays....

ok...its so simple...just takes a few mins.

100g caster sugar
4 x 15ml tablespoons golden syrup
one and a half teaspoons bicarbonate soda

1.Put the sugar and syrup into saucepan and stir together to mix. Dont stir once the pan is on the heat.
2.Put the mixture on the heat, let it melt, then turn to goo then to a bubbling mass...will probably take about 3 mins using a medium heat. Dont let it burn...if it does it is ruined.
3. Take off the heat, stir in the bi carb and watch the mixture turn into a cloud of aerated pale gold. Turn the mixture out immidiately onto a greaseproof paper and leave to set.
4.When it is set, bash it and make into pieces

we were only talking the other day here at home about making cinder toffee, so now youve given us the recipe i think i might give it a bash - literally lol.

ooo...forgot to mention...if the paper sticks a little....just use a damp cloth to wipe the back of the paper and it should peel off nicely.....let me know how all your efforts turn out!!
