how do i steam in a halogen oven

help, i have purchased a halogen oven, the so called recipe booklet that came with it has 3 recipes,one for cake one for fish,and one for crumble,i need to do steam veg and pots,i put water in the bottom,pot veg brusselsetc on the low rack,pots came out partly grilled so did all veg it wasnt very tasty,i have sent for a couple of recipe books until thes arrive i really dont know where to start,i have done trial and error and i have not done a good cooked dinner yet help i would appreciate if for any advice thanks perhaps i can start cooking.

Hi bella,
I believe you need to make a kind of parcel with foil? Biggish piece of foil & put some water & your veg in it and kind of bring it together and fold it loosely near the top! I haven't actually tried it as yet x
As in 'en papillote' method ( but that uses parchment paper which I would not use in a Halogen oven )
take it back , and buy a steamer , and a slow cooker ....
so easy to use , also cheap ,halogen is mega expensive to
use .
